Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

Do you accept insurance?

Maximum Impact Physical Therapy is not currently a participating provider with any insurance plans. Before you become disheartened and look for the next clinic near you, let’s explore what private physical therapy is and how this method will often save you time, money, and resources, while also helping you achieve your desired results.

Do you accept Medicare?

Maximum Impact does not have a relationship with Medicare. Medicare beneficiaries cannot receive treatment unless they choose to withhold all billing from their insurance. This request must be made upfront, and signed consent documented. If after an evaluation you feel you’d rather utilize your insurance benefits, Dr. Shyla will be happy to discuss other potential physical therapists in the area to meet your needs. Additionally, we offer wellness programs for Medicare beneficiaries wanting to take advantage of non-covered services.

Do I need a physician referral?

No physician referral is needed to get evaluated by a physical therapist. New Mexico is a direct-access state. However, it is always good to talk to your physician about existing conditions.
